Challenged!

Well, just a little update on my little sidekick Connor. We have officially started potty training...wow....it takes every ounce of patience I can muster up. If you know me at all, I have very little patience but fortunately for Connor, I am most patient with him. With the exception of Connor's eating habits, potty training has definitely been the most challenging parenting task thus far. Establishing routine, working full-time and balancing my mommy act, finding play time, and getting Connor to bed all seem like a cake-walk compared to potty training. WE WILL SURVIVE!

I told Connor over the weekend that the stores (Target being his favorite) no longer sell pull-ups and it was time for him to be a big boy and wear undies. So Connor picked out Spiderman, Cars, Diego and baseball underoos.....he was excited to pick out his underwear...not so excited to go to the potty every thirty minutes. He has done well.....no accidents at his sitter's house the past two days and only one "bad" one at the YMCA today. I cannot complain; my baby is making progress!

I have to thank Hagie for exhibiting more patience during this process and for being so nurturing to Connor while we work on this potty stuff. Although Hagie is only here on the weekends, the time he is here, he never stops showing his love to Connor in the most gentle, kind ways. Connor is a lucky fella!
